AI Receptionist for General Physician Clinics

A family clinic hears everything. The phone should handle it.

Fever, cough, a check-up, a certificate, a report: a general practice gets every kind of call. Pluxo answers all of them in the caller's language, books the right doctor, and passes anything unusual to your team.

The problem

Where the calls slip through.

Morning OPD fills the line with calls the receptionist cannot take while registering patients.

"Is the doctor in?", "How much is the fee?", "Can I get a fitness certificate?" every few minutes.

A multi-doctor practice needs callers routed to the right doctor, not the first free one.

Report and refill requests interrupt the doctor between patients.

Evening callers with a fever reach a closed clinic and book elsewhere in the morning.

How Pluxo solves this

Built for how a family clinic actually runs.

Routes symptoms sensibly

It maps what the caller describes to the right doctor at your clinic, and never guesses a diagnosis.

Same-day slots that exist

It offers only times in each doctor's real schedule, including same-day slots you keep free.

Reports and refills noted

It never reads out results or approves refills. It notes the request for your team.

Speaks the patient's language

English, Hindi and nine more Indian languages, switching mid-call.

Emergencies first

Anyone describing an emergency is told to call their local emergency number before anything else.

Reminders and recalls

Booking confirmations, day-before reminders and recalls for check-ups go out on WhatsApp.

How a call goes

A family clinic call, start to finish.

An example with a made-up clinic. The caller speaks Hindi; it is shown here in English.

  1. Pluxo

Hello, this is City Family Clinic's AI receptionist. This call may be recorded. How can I help?

  2. Patient

I've had fever and body ache for two days. Which doctor should I see, and is anyone free today?

  3. Pluxo

Dr. Gupta, the general physician, can see you today at 12:40 or 6:15. Shall I send both to your WhatsApp?

  4. Patient

6:15 please. Also, are my blood reports from last week ready?

  5. Pluxo

You're booked for 6:15. I can't read out reports, but I've asked the team to check and message you.

  6. Your team

The report request arrives on WhatsApp with the patient's name and number, ready to answer.

Languages

11 languages, and it follows the caller.

The receptionist speaks English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi and Odia. It answers in the language the patient starts in and switches if they do, so a caller who opens in Hindi and drifts into Kannada is never asked to repeat themselves.

You choose which languages your clinic offers and which one it greets in. A clinic in Pune might greet in Marathi and offer Hindi and English. A clinic in Bengaluru might offer five.

What it costs

One published price, minutes included.

Core is ₹2,999 a month plus GST. It includes 250 AI call minutes every month, unlimited WhatsApp, reminders and follow-ups, and your first doctor. There is no setup fee and no commission on bookings.

Paying for a longer term takes 8 percent off quarterly and 20 percent off yearly. Extra doctors start at ₹999 a month each and get cheaper as the team grows. If a busy month uses more than the included minutes, top-ups cost ₹5.50 to ₹7.50 a minute depending on the pack, bought ahead from the dashboard.

Every figure here is the same one on the pricing page, which also works out the total for your number of doctors and term. For how this compares with other tools sold to Indian clinics, see the AI receptionist pricing guide.

What it does not do

Where it stops, on purpose.

A receptionist that oversteps is worse than one that misses a call. These are the lines Pluxo does not cross.

  • It does not give medical advice, a diagnosis or a dose, even when a caller insists. It says the doctor will look at it properly and offers a slot.
  • In an emergency it tells the caller to hang up and call their local emergency number, before anything else.
  • It does not read out reports or approve prescription refills. It notes the request and your team follows up.
  • It never offers a time that is not in a doctor’s real schedule, and never double-books.
  • It does not pretend to be human. It says it is the clinic’s AI receptionist in its first sentence.
  • It does not quote a price you have not given it. Anything it cannot answer goes to your team on WhatsApp, with the conversation attached.
