How the number is worked out

Calls a day times clinic days gives the calls in a month. The share that ring out gives the missed calls. Of those, the share who would have booked gives the lost appointments, and each one is a first consultation fee.

It is deliberately conservative. It ignores follow-up visits, procedures and the patients a happy first visit would have referred, all of which a missed first call also loses.
